Phil Rhead has extensive global experience of working at senior levels within large and complex multinational organisations to design and successfully deliver business improvement and transformation programmes.
After graduating, Phil began a career in operations & general management, gaining experience in a number of UK & US-based multinational organisations. During this period, Phil led the implementation of continuous improvement programmes in the areas of lean manufacturing, business process improvement and organisational change.
As an interim manager, Phil has managed a number of assignments in large and medium-sized organisations to re-engineer business processes, introduce strategic deployment systems and implement step changes in organisational performance. He also has pioneered research in areas of process innovation and creative thinking.
Following a short service commission in the Royal Air Force Matthew has spent the past 14 years providing interim management support to a wide cross-section of companies and industries. He has worked in industries as diverse as gaming machine design/manufacture, environmental and recycling management, bus transportation, industrial chemicals, facilities management within the Ministry of Defence, to name but a few.
Nowadays, Matthew specialises in strategic IT as well as general project management where he uses his unique blend of uncommon ‘common sense’ to deliver projects both to time and to budget. As a skilled and experienced leader of multi-faceted projects and programmes Matthew has successfully led a number of individual undertakings. These include bespoke IT developments, configured IT solutions, projects scheduling programmes, quality improvement initiatives and business closure and relocation projects.
Sue’s back ground is HR, industrial relations and in providing strategic legal advice to HR business partners and senior management. She has international experience in setting and updating company employment policy and implementing such policies across 11 European countries. She also has co-ordinated pan-European redundancy programmes.
Sue’s recent experiences are within technical engineering organisations (mainly telecoms) where she has provided invaluable expertise in site closure and site re-location activities. Sue’s clients include Colt telecommunications, Cable and Wireless, Vodafone, UGI Meters and Tarmac Services.
Following a successful senior management career in the automotive industry, David’s interests have centred on helping organisations to improve their performance by applying IS/IT in support of their business goals. David brings a pragmatic and business focused approach to the development of IS/IT strategy and the evaluation, selection, implementation and exploitation of information systems that underpin World Class performance.
David’s clients have included a global life science company, an MOD agency, a major consumer products company, a global IS & Strategy consultancy company and a major manufacturing software package vendor. David has worked in supply chain management and IS/IT since the mid-1980’s. In this time he has held senior management, project leadership and operational management roles in the three of the world’s largest chemical and pharmaceutical companies.
Mickey provides the essential link between MCB’s pragmatic ‘hands on’ and ‘value added’ approach to interim management work and operational best practice. Mickey’s interests have centred on helping organisations improve their performance with particular emphasis on business excellence self-assessment and base lining, strategy development and deployment including business planning, performance measurement and the balanced scorecard.
Mickey runs his own innovation and training business and, in 2002, played a pivotal role in developing the ‘3-Day Car’ programme for enhancing the order fulfilment processes (build-to-order [BTO]) for car ordering in the UK automotive industry. Mickey’s clients include BAE Systems, Volvo Car Corporation, Ministry of Defence, and the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply.
